ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, this is an excellent movie choice on how to multiply and divide complex numbers because they man describing it uses helpful arrows, different foil techniques and is very fluent with his speaking. He is extremely easy to understand. Definitely watch this movie, because it will help you a lot if you don't already understand it.

ReplyDeleteI think this video shows a good example on how to multiply complex numbers, like we learned in class today. The teacher shows how to foil the equation step by step. I chose this video because if I needed help on how to multiply complex numbers I would watch this video.

I chose this video because I think this girl is easier to understand then the guy. I know how to add, subtract, and multiply but I was a not understanding the dividing but the videos help describe the process. Both of the movies describe about the same thing on the process of doing the equations.

ReplyDeleteI chose this video because he primarily talked about dividing complex numbers and when and why you take opposite when dividing. He also helped me understand why you just take it times i in some cases. I also thought it was neat to hear other students ask questions like you were in a real classroom. This guy was also pretty funny

ReplyDeleteThis video breaks it down into each seperate part. So if you are having a hard time seeing how to get different numbers in the problem, this is a good help. It is easy to understand and you can see exactly what his is saying as he writes it.

ReplyDeleteThis video helps you because it highlights the parts that your focusing on. Theres both subtracting and adding. This guy is boring but... I found one about reciprocals that's a little less boring too :) ---->> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqy3TmwqUDc

I choose this video because it covers the same type of problems that we are currently working on. It is about multiplying complex numbers and is from your teacher.com so it is very easy to understand. Its not very interesting but it goes through the process and explains it very well.

I chose this youtube video because the girl explains things very slowly and that makes it easier to understand. She also walks you step by step through each example until you get your final answer. I think this video works for me because i am better learning things when i am shown how and not told how to do something.

ReplyDeleteHere is a good old complex numbers movie for ya! It is extremely easy to understand, and explains why you use i and what it stands for. It also shows you how to do complex number problems which I really like.

ReplyDeleteThis video above is a great one about adding and subtracting. The person doing the problems in the video shows that adding and subtracting complex numbers can be easy as long as you use the signs correctly.
The next website:

ReplyDeleteThis video made it fun and interesting, the teacher draws you in and you actually start understanding. I didn't really know to do reciprocals problems and after watching him i knew how to do it. He also helps to remember what to do.

ReplyDeleteI beleive this video helped me as I was trying to do my study guide. hahahah and the man describing the problems knows exactly where to go with each problem so it's easy to follow and hear him, he's very fluent and doesn't stutter. He is left handed so you can't see the work right away but he moves his hand when needed.

ReplyDeleteI particularly liked this video because it not only teaches you how to divide complex numbers, but it shows a real teacher teaching to real kids. The kids in the video are actually participating in discussion, and the teacher is teaching like a normal teacher (a.k.a. he is teaching to the class so he doesnt sound dull and boring). He also explains things very well.

ReplyDeleteI thought this video did a very good job of explaining how to divide complex numbers. The teacher didnt seem depressed like the other teachers in the video and there were other people in the room that he could react with.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed this one because I love math that has an explanation behind it. In the first few minutes he explains how imaginary numbers came about. I think that if kids put their minds into understanding logic, then algebra and math would be a lot easier. Rather than being the shortcut instructions to solve a problem (what a majority of students would consider their only mathematical understanding of problems), the author of this video goes in depth with why/what an imaginary number is and places where it can be found.
I also liked that he said he doesn't enjoy foil as much as the "distributive property twice" -- which is how I feel.
